In the heart of the Overberg, 28km from Caledon and 20km from Stanford is the stunning and breath taking De Oudekraal wedding venue. Newly build; this is the place to get married in a spectacular part of the world that is unspoiled and untamed. Between the eucalyptus trees this venue is on our lovely farm that nestles between the mountains and a river running through the farm.
You will be spoilt for photo opportunities in idyllic spots on the farm to keep your memories of your special day fresh for a lifetime together.
We offer a variety of outdoor and indoor possibilities for your ceremony. You can get married in the newly renovated church built in 1906 with its original features about 200 metres from the venue. Or you can exchange vows in the venue between the trees and singing birds. The church can seat 150 people, while the bigger outside venue is just as beautiful and peaceful and which will seat all your guests.
The wedding venue is attractive with a lovely country feel and does not need draping, although feel free to decorate as much as you wish. The venue is perfect for a small, intimate wedding or for those who wants a big wedding. We cater for any size wedding, no matter how big or small.
We also have a farmhouse that can house 30 – 45 guests sharing in a comfortable, charming and relaxed accommodation. This makes De Oudekraal Venue ideal for a wedding weekend.
